Trying Filipino Food

Claris served us some Filipino dishes to try, Lumpia and  Pansit both dishes I enjoyed. Apparently these are some of Scott's favorites.

Monday was a busy day as we toured the PUC Church 's Fireside room (the church has a link to a parking map at this site), and the Elmshaven Church (the church has links to maps on the site). Here is the site or maps to PUC Church,

Shopping Trip

Sunday morning a yummy brunch was hosted by Lance and Pam, Scott's brother and sister-in-law, during which wedding plans were discussed. Following brunch the ladies took Claris shopping for a wedding dress in Santa Rosa.

Though the shop had many dresses, they didn't have one in Clairs size to try on, which was rather disappointing. The shop didn't offer anything that Claris liked, but a catalouge had the perfect dress. The shop said they could have it in by Aug. 20, and suprisingly the dress arrived last week.

House Calls

Plans to to take engagement photos was curbed when Scott had a piece of dry cement blow into his eye on Friday. By the next day his eyelid was swollen up like "pink eye".  An ophthalmologist was found who actually makes house calls. This is possible with new technology that makes portable equipment.

The doctor was able to remove the material from the eye, which offered a good deal of relief for Scott.

"I'll Show You How It's Done"

When Scott brought a lovely young woman for Mother's Day weekend, we figured something was a foot. We wouldn't hear any news of wedding bells, until the following month, when Scott informed mother he was engaged.
